Tool #15 of the RankSEOTool suite — 100% free

Free Google Review Link Generator + QR Code

Make it easy for customers to leave you a Google review. Enter your business name and Google Place ID, and this tool builds the official review link — plus a printable QR code — right in your browser. No signup, no API key, no data leaves your device.

Find your Google Place ID in 3 steps

The review link needs your business's Place ID. Grab it free from Google in under a minute:

1

Search your business on Google Maps

Go to google.com/maps and type your exact business name — the same name shown on your Google Business Profile. Note how Google spells it; you will use that spelling below.

2

Open Google's Place ID Finder

Open Google's free Place ID Finder, search your business, and click it on the map.

3

Copy the Place ID

The Finder shows your Place ID as a string of letters and numbers. Copy it exactly and paste it in the field below — a single wrong character will open the wrong business.

How to get value from the Google Review Link Generator in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Set a neutral measurement

Enter the domain and keyword you care about, then choose the Google country locale and device that match your audience. Avoid judging rank from a logged-in browser alone — personalization can hide your true competitive position.

  2. 2

    Read position with context

Note the organic position, the exact ranking URL, and the pages around you. A strong position on the wrong URL is a content and internal-linking problem, not a win.

  3. 3

Track the trend, not one snapshot

Re-run the same keyword with the same country and device on a weekly cadence. One check is a moment in time; movement over several weeks is what shows whether SEO work is paying off.

Understanding key SERP metrics

Read these signals together. No single metric explains rankings or traffic on its own.

Organic rank

Your position among unpaid results for the selected locale and device. Positions 1–3 usually earn most clicks; page-two rankings rarely drive meaningful traffic.

Search volume

An estimate of monthly demand for the keyword. Use it to prioritize — not as a precise traffic forecast.

Keyword difficulty

A 0–100 estimate of how hard page one looks based on who already ranks. Pair it with SERP features and your site’s authority before committing content budget.

CTR curves

Click-through rates generally fall as position drops, and SERP features (ads, packs, AI overviews) can compress organic CTR even at #1. Rank alone never equals traffic.

RankSEOTool vs. paid SEO suites

RankSEOTool focuses on fast, free instant checks with transparent labeling when sample or third-party data is used. Pricing for other products changes often — verify on each vendor’s site.

Who the Google Review Link Generator is for

A clear picture of your rankings is useful at every level of SEO experience.

Local business owners

Shops, restaurants, clinics, and tradespeople who want more Google reviews without buying software or learning Maps APIs. One link and QR code, ready in under a minute.

Marketing agencies

Teams setting up review collection for clients across many locations — a fast, free way to produce a correct link and QR code for every branch.

Multi-location brands

Franchises and chains that need a distinct review link per store. Each location has its own Place ID, so generating one per branch keeps reviews landing on the right profile.

How to interpret your results

Read the metrics together — each one adds context to the others.

1

Your review link

The official Google review URL for your business. Opening it shows your business's Google review dialog — the fastest path a customer has to leave you a review.

2

The QR code

A scannable PNG version of the same link, 512 × 512 pixels. Use it anywhere customers have a phone in hand: receipts, counters, table tents, packaging.

3

The Place ID

The identifier that ties the link to your exact business location. The link works only if the Place ID is correct — a typo opens the wrong business, so always test the link after generating it.

4

Where to share

Post-purchase emails, text messages, invoices, and social bios for the link; physical surfaces near the point of sale for the QR code. Ask right after a positive interaction, when customers are most motivated.

5

One link per location

Branches share nothing here. Generate a fresh link and QR code for each location so every review lands on the right Google Business Profile.

Limitations & accuracy

The link is only as correct as the Place ID you paste. The tool cannot verify that the ID belongs to your business — open the generated link and confirm it shows your business's review dialog before sharing it.

Customers still need a Google account to post a review. The link shortens the path to the review dialog; it cannot make a review appear faster or guarantee one gets posted.

If your Google Business Profile is unverified or suspended, Google may not offer the review option at all, and the link will not fix that. Resolve profile status inside your Google Business account first.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Copying the Place ID by hand instead of pasting it. Even one wrong character routes the link to the wrong business — paste, do not retype.

  • Using one location's link for every branch. Reviews left on the wrong profile cannot be moved to the right one.

  • Printing the QR code too small. Under about 2 × 2 cm it scans unreliably, especially on curved or glossy surfaces.

  • Asking for reviews but never replying to them. Unanswered reviews — especially negative ones — make potential customers scroll past you.

Why a review link works better than asking

Most customers are willing to leave a review but never do, because the process takes too many steps: open Maps, search your business, find the reviews tab, figure out where the write button is. Every extra tap loses people. A review link removes the friction — one tap lands them on your business with the review dialog a click away.

The link this tool builds uses Google's official review URL format with your Place ID, which is the same mechanism Google documents for businesses. It does not expire, it does not track anyone, and it costs nothing. Share it in post-purchase emails, text messages, and invoices; print the QR code on receipts, table tents, packaging, and storefront windows. Ask right after a positive interaction — that is when customers are most motivated to write.

What to do after generating your link

  • Test it yourself first — open the link on your phone and confirm it opens your business's review dialog, not another business.
  • Reply to every review — thank happy customers and address complaints calmly. Google shows that you respond, and potential customers notice.
  • Never pay for or fake reviews — Google removes incentivized and fake reviews, and a suspension can hide your profile from search entirely. Earn them one customer at a time.
  • Make one per location — branches have different Place IDs, so generate a separate link and QR code for each to keep reviews on the right profile.

Want to see where your business stands on the map? Pair this with the Google Maps Rank Checker to measure your local visibility from a full geo-grid.
